An interesting movie on Feb. 23 in Biddeford
October 24–27 Jacqueline Schwab comes to Maine for a concert, English country dance, and workshop.
“Our Oct 24 ECD class will have a special guest: Pianist Jacqueline Schwab from the group Bare Necessities will sit in with our regular (sizeable!) band for an evening of social dancing. For this week only, our dance will be held at the Harraseeket Grange in Freeport, and will run from 6 to 8:30, including a brief snack break as we usually do.
This evening is one in the ECD series presented by 317 Maine three times a year. If not registered for a full series, the drop in fee is $12 for the evening. See the 317 web site for more information on the class itself. ( http://www.317main.org/learning/english-country-dance/ )
Jacquie will also be presenting a solo piano concert at 7 pm on Friday the 26th, at the Yarmouth First Parish Church. (http://www.317main.org/event/jacqueline-schwab-concert-at-first-parish-church/) . You will most likely have heard her playing on several Ken Burns documentaries, starting with The Civil War.”
